Bharat Forge has acquired China FAW Groups forging business.While the terms were not disclosed, Bharat Forge,which is based at Pune, is a supplier of engine and chasis parts.Bharat Forge holds a majority 52 percent stake in the JV, called FAW Bharat Forge, which manufactures highly engineered forged auto components.The forging company of the FAW group is the largest in China and by joining hands with them, Bharat Forge is claimed to have become the largest forging company in China with a strong customer base across segments and covering numerous customers.FAW has partnership with Volkswagen AG and Toyota Motor, while Mazda Motor has a JV with FAW car.FAW also has several JVs for auto components.Its annual vehicle output is said to be more than 1 million units.
